Kyogo Furuhashi back in Japan squad

Kyogo Furuhashi was today named in the Japanese squad for their upcoming fixtures after being left out the last few squads.

For some reason or another Kyogo wasn’t deemed good enough for a place in Hajime Moriyasu’s previous squads, but he’s now rightly earned his place alongside fellow teammates Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate for the upcoming fixtures against Indonesia and China.

Kyogo is a superb striker and Japan must have some firepower if they had the luxury to leave out such a talent in their squad. The Celtic striker has everything needed in a modern striker and has the goal record to back it up. Not just domestically, but in the highest level of all in the Champions League.

Kyogo has more than deserved this opportunity and I like the rest of the Celtic supporters are absolutely delighted for him.

Kyogo, Daizen and Reo living the dream at Celtic

For players like Kyogo, Daizen and Reo, playing in the Champions League is crucial to their stay at Celtic, it’s the highest possible level for club football in the world and now that Celtic are more competitive the decision to come to Celtic under the influence of former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, is proving to be hugely successful for all three players and indeed the club.

Kyogo earning a place back in the Japan squad is therefore a significant moment and it’s also long overdue and richly deserved.

Best of Luck to Kyogo, Daizen and Reo

Obviously from a selfish point of view we are more concerned of Kyogo avoiding any injuries, but representing your nation is a massive honour and Kyogo will be delighted to be back in the international fold. We wish Kyogo nothing but the best of luck on his return to the Samurai blue squad.
