Beyond laughable claims of transfer talks for Joelinton to leave Newcastle United

Claims now that Joelinton could be leaving Newcastle United.

I wouldn’t get too worried just yet though, as this sounds like a laughable media ‘exclusive’ from Turkey.

The Turkish media outlet Alain Turkce are the ones running this Joelinton transfer tale.

They state that Newcastle United and Galatasaray have met to discuss the transfer.

Then after the (alleged!) talks between the two clubs, Galatasaray are then said to have made an offer to loan Joelinton, with only an option to buy.

This Turkish media then claiming that Galatasaray are now waiting to see whether Newcastle United will accept this loan offer.

On a scale of 1-100 on whether I believe this has any substance, then it would be a zero for me.

It is hilarious really, a journalist in another country totally inventing this entire transfer tale.

There is less than zero chance of Newcastle United willingly selling Joelinton to anybody, unless potentially they offered an absolutely crazy amount of money.

As for Eddie Howe and Newcastle United letting one of the club’s very best players to go out on loan?? Then out on loan with just an option to buy???

This after they’d gone to such lengths to keep Joelinton, getting him only months ago to sign a new contract that takes him up to end of June 2028 and is now one of Newcastle’s best paid players.

Joelinton turns 28 just three days before Newcastle United kick off their Premier League season and is in his absolute prime.

No disrespect to the Turkish league BUT as for the idea of Joelinton having the remotest interest in swapping the upper reaches of the Premier League, for the lowly Turkish league??? I somehow doubt it.

A reminder to all Newcastle United fans, that it isn’t just the media in the UK who will totally make up transfer claim stories, or indeed claims of anything.
