We're still absolutely desperate for Liverpool to sign a midfielder, even if there are just a few hours remaining in the transfer window. This is a window that's been open for months, of course.

But the Reds just haven't addressed their midfield problems whatsoever. They've actually gotten weaker, with Curtis Jones joining Inter without a replacement coming in.

This midfield has never really made sense as it's built entirely out of attacking midfielders. There isn't a natural defensive player among them - except Wataru Endo, who isn't allowed to play regularly for whatever reason.

We're massive fans of Camara's and the player was reportedly offered to Liverpool in recent days. However, he was also offered to Chelsea as they chase a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.

The difference is that Chelsea have moved for Camara. They've put in a deadline-day bid, despite having initially wanted Manu Kone from AS Roma.

The Athletic reports that offer has been rejected. The €42m put on the table isn't enough and now Chelsea must bid again if they want to get it over the line.

So this is Liverpool's chance! Chelsea have twice shown Camara that he isn't their first-choice - first by pushing for Kone over him and now with their low offer.

Liverpool can swoop in and get their perfect midfielder. A player who is definitely available, ticks all the right boxes, and completes their midfield.
