West Ham United are set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday.
In a blow for the Hammers, Lucas Paqueta is an injury doubt for the crucial game against Wolves, per The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg.
Paqueta’s absence is not confirmed but there is every chance the Brazilian will not be able to play today’s full game.
The 28-year-old has been a key player for West Ham this campaign, starting 17 Premier League matches and netting four goals.
Paqueta had a mixed performance in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. He both scored and assisted a goal, but also gave away a silly penalty.
The Brazil international was set to start against Wolves, but it appears he will not be involved.
West Ham also remain without centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, though the Frenchman is only dealing with a minor knock and should be back in action soon.
El Hadji Malick Diouf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are currently playing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with the duo likely to miss a few more games.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been facing a lot of scrutiny in recent weeks, as West Ham are currently on an eight-game winless run and sit 18th in the league standings.
The East Londoners have a brilliant opportunity to end their miserable run as they take on a Wolves side who are yet to claim a Premier League victory this season.
