According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United side to face Premier League leaders Arsenal at Elland Road, with a major boost as left back Gabi Gudmundsson returns from an adductor issue to start. He replaces Sebastiaan Bornauw in the only change to the team.

Striker Lukas Nmecha and centre-back Jaka Bijol had already been ruled out with hamstring problems. Gudmundsson had not resumed training as of Thursday, with Farke indicating there was only a small chance he would make it. Dan James returned to training this week after a hamstring tendon injury in the 3-2 loss at Manchester City in late November.

Farke had suggested selection would need mindful calls after James’s long absence, and the winger is not involved. Bornauw replaces the injured Nmecha in the only change on the bench.

For Arsenal, Mikel Arteta makes two changes from last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United, as Viktor Gyokeres and the fit-again Kai Havertz start. Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus move to the bench.

Leeds United: Darlow, Bogle, Rodon, Justin, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Ampadu, Gruev, Stach, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Perri, Byram, Bornauw, Longstaff, Tanaka, Buonanotte, Okafor, Gnonto, Piroe.

Arsenal: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie, Zubimendi, Rice, Havertz, Saka, Trossard, Gyokeres. Subs: Arrizabalaga, White, Calafiori, Mosquera, Odegaard, Eze, Madueke, Martinelli, Jesus.
