There has been big money spent across Europe already this summer, with several high-profile clubs breaking their transfer records.

We've put together the most expensive XI signed during this summer's transfer window so far.

Goalkeeper: Ewen Jaouen - Newcastle (£24.2m)

Newcastle made Reims youngster Ewen Jaouen their first summer signing, agreeing a £24.2m deal for the up-and-coming goalkeeper.

The 20-year-old had a breakout season with Reims in Ligue 2 last season, as the French side narrowly missed out on promotion.

Right-back: Marco Palestra - Chelsea (£47m)

Chelsea made Marco Palestra the first major signing for the Xabi Alonso era, agreeing a deal worth £47m for the full-back.

The 21-year-old shone on loan at Cagliari last season, where he was namedSerie A's Best Defender for 2025/26 and handed an Italy debut.

Centre-back: Jeremy Jacquet - Liverpool (£55m)

Liverpool wrapped up a deal to sign Jeremy Jacquet in January, with the centre-back linking up with the Reds this summer. Jacquet joins with big shoes to fill, following Ibrahima Konate's exit for Real Madrid.

Centre-back: Jan Paul van Hecke - Tottenham Hotspur (£52m)

Few teams have attacked the summer transfer window quite like Spurs this summer. The North Londoners have spent more than £200m to date, twice breaking their transfer record. In addition,Jan Paul van Hecke has joined ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi in the capital.

Left-back: Marc Cucurella - Real Madrid (£47.5m)

Marc Cucurella's desire for a return to Spain saw Chelsea cash in on the left-back. Real Madrid snuck in ahead of Atletico Madrid andBarcelona to land the Spain international for a £47.5m fee.

Midfield: Elliot Anderson - Manchester City (£116m)

The most expensive transfer of the summer so far, and the second-most expensivePremier League transfer of all time.

Elliot Anderson has headed north to Manchester, becoming the priciest Englishman of all time.

Midfield: Sandro Tonali - Tottenham Hotspur (£100m)

The new-found ambition in North London saw Spurs smash their transfer recordto sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United this week. Regarded as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League, it's a statement of intent from Spurs.

Midfield: Mateus Fernandes - Tottenham Hotspur (£85m)

Mateus Fernandes has been Tottenham's record signing for a matter of days. Spurs paid £85m to land Fernandes from relegated West Ham, outbidding some of Europe's top teams in the process.

Right-wing: Ismael Saibari - Bayern Munich (£47m)

Bayern Munich will be delighted to have wrapped up a deal for Ismael Saibari early in the window, following the Moroccan's impressive World Cup performances.

Saibari scored 19 goals last season to earn the Eredivisie Player of the Year award at PSV Eindhoven.

Left-wing: Anthony Gordon - Barcelona (£69m)

Anthony Gordon will become only the third Englishman to represent Barcelona in the last century after completing a £69m transfer to the Camp Nou from Newcastle.

Gordon's goal record in Europe last season, scoring 10 goals in 12 Champions League games, attracted interest from the Spanish champions.

Forward: Goncalo Ramos - AC Milan (£63m)

AC Milan have broken their transfer record to sign Goncalo Ramos from PSG. It's a massive fee for the Portuguese forward, who has struggled for regular game time in Paris. Ruben Amorim will hope his compatriot can lead a revival at the San Siro.
