2025 marks the 150th year in Blues’ history, which has led to a number of commemorative acts throughout the course of the last 11 months.

A special golden badge was released for this year to be worn on their matchday shirt, with the dates of their existence placed front and centre.

Their upcoming home clash against Norwich City has been labelled the “anniversary fixture”, where supporters have been encouraged to wear their favourite shirt from over the years and arrive at the ground early for a pre-match show.

Former players will also be coming back to greet fans and sign autographs, making for quite the occasion at St. Andrew’s.

To further celebrate the occasion, the Second City side allowed fans to vote for their all-time XI, with the final team now revealed.

Naturally, when a team is selected on differing opinions, some members of the fanbase aren’t going to be happy with the final outcome.

From the back, the team featured Gil Merrick, Stephen Carr, Kenny Burns, Roger Johnson, Martin Grainger, Seb Larsson, Jude Bellingham, Barry Ferguson, Stan Lazaridis, Christophe Dugarry and Trevor Francis.

One huge omission, Joe Bradford, was picked up immediately, much to some supporters’ dismay.

“Our all-time top goal scorer has missed out to a bloke who scored 6 goals,” pointed out one fan. “Scrap it man.”

“How has Joe Bradford not made this?” questioned another. “We should never be permitted to vote again.”

Despite going on to win the Champions League and La Liga with Real Madrid, some of the Birmingham fans couldn’t understand why Bellingham was included in the list, when he only featured in the first team for a single season.

“Why have people voted for Jude?” asked a Blues fan. “He wasn't the best midfielder at the time he played for us?”

“This is a perfect example of why online public voting doesn't work,” stated another. “Carr, Lazaridis, Larsson, Fergus- all good players but All Time? Bellingham and Dugarry world class but played 1 season? And Roger Johnson? He wasn't even as good as his partner Dann!”

There was even room for fans from other clubs to chime in, looking to poke fun at Blues’ fanbase for some of their collective decisions.

“The gift that keeps on giving!!!!” joked an Aston Villa supporter.

Overall, the mood was summed up well by one fan who didn’t want to take any further notice of the team henceforth.

“I never want to see or talk about this ever again,” affirmed one of Blues’ faithful.

Joe Bradford was a particularly surprising omission from Birmingham’s all-time XI

When most people are asked to name their team’s all-time greatest players, the top goalscorer is usually one of the first names that are listed off.

Obviously, the person who scored the most goals for a club is held in extremely high regard, with statues often built depicting them around the ground.

Therefore, this makes it all the more shocking as to why Bradford wasn’t included.

Dugarry was selected in his place and while the French international was a World Cup winner, he only operated out of St. Andrew’s for just over a single season, which is a far cry from the legacy Bradford left.
