Birmingham City midfielder Seung-Ho Paik is set to delay surgery on his shoulder issue that would have ended his season.
Paik suffered a recurrence of the injury early in the 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion, and will still miss three weeks as he recovers.
He first dislocated his shoulder against Middlesborough three months ago, but is set to continue to play for club and country this season.
Paik is expecting to represent South Korea at the World Cup this summer which is thought to be a big reason why he is delaying surgery.
Birmingham City manager Chris Davies said: “Paik has seen a specialist and his programme now is, I think, maybe another three or so weeks until he can possibly be back available again for selection or training.
“The decision was made to take that kind of approach to it. We don’t want to miss him for any game but that’s my understanding of our approach to it and his approach to it. About three weeks from now.”
