Sheffield United aren't looking to pursue a move for Jack Robinson.
Sheffield United aren’t expected to explore a deal for their former captain, Jack Robinson.
The Blades have experienced a disastrous 2025/26 campaign thus far, fighting towards the bottom of the division and becoming the first team in the competition’s history to lose 11 of their opening 14 matches.
Under both Ruben Selles and Chris Wilder, the Steel City side looked uncompetitive, but recent results suggest that things may have finally turned around at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United have won their last three second-tier matches and are unbeaten in four, dragging them out of the bottom three and already to within 10 points of the top six.
With the January transfer window coming up, Wilder is expected to make a number of changes to his squad, with loan man Louie Barry set to be recalled by Aston Villa.
However, this business isn’t likely to include a deal for Jack Robinson.

Robinson spent half a decade at Bramall Lane, where he played a crucial role in Wilder and Paul Heckingbottom’s defences, in both the Premier League and Championship.
He left to join Birmingham City on deadline day this summer, but has only made four Championship appearances in the Second City, partly due to receiving two red cards in that time.
Reports recently claimed that the Blades were looking to bring the centre-half back to Sheffield in January, with Wilder aiming to shape United’s squad to his liking.
However, the Sheffield Star has now ruled out the possibility of that happening.
Multiple sources have informed the Star that he isn’t an option being considered by the Steel City side ahead of January.
A new defender is likely to be on Wilder’s wishlist, as loan duo Tyler Bindon and Ben Godfrey could return to their parent clubs, but Robinson won’t be filling that void.
The 32-year-old made 162 appearances for the Blades, scoring seven times.

Wilder will no doubt be looking to add a number of players to his squad in January, as he tries to push further up the table and towards the play-offs.
If Bindon and Godfrey do join Barry in returning to their parent clubs, central defence will likely be an area the Blades’ boss needs to reinforce.
However, re-signing Robinson wouldn’t have made sense.
At 32 years of age, United aren’t going to be acquiring the same player they did in 2020 and need to be sure they are increasing the level of quality in their backline.
Robinson hasn’t covered himself in glory at Birmingham and can’t find a route into Chris Davies’ side. Therefore, it shouldn’t be any easier for him to achieve that feat at Bramall Lane, which is why this move never would’ve made sense.
