Birmingham City sign French youth international forward Effa Effa | OneFootball

Birmingham City have completed the signing of highly-rated French youth international forward Chancelle Effa Effa.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this evening.

The 19-year-old attacker joins Birmingham City from French Arkema Première Ligue club Le Havre. Blues have paid an undisclosed fee to Les Havraises to secure the player’s services.

Effa Effa has come through Le Havre’s youth system before going on to feature for the senior team. The player was a promotion-winner with the club in 2021/2022 while she netted five goals in 20 league outings in the French top flight last season.

On the international stage, Effa Effa has represented France at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level.

After joining Birmingham City, Effa Effa said “I am very happy to be joining Birmingham City. It is a great pleasure to join such a historic club and experience the Women’s Super League.

“From my very first conversations with the club, I was won over by the project. I sensed a genuine desire to build something strong, with great ambition. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”

Effa Effa is Birmingham City’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
