WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Blues this morning.
The 21-year-old Finnish international attacker has spent the last two years with London City Lionesses but her progress has been severely impacted by an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. The player sustained her long-term injury early last season and she was unable to play a significant part in The Pride’s Barclays WSL2 title success. Lindström has since returned to fitness, although her game time in the Barclays Women’s Super League has been limited.
The forward has plenty of potential but she needs regular playing minutes to develop. She will now hope to get some valuable experience in her time back in the second tier with Birmingham City.
After joining Blues, Lindström said “I’m really excited to be here and get started with the team.
“I think it’s a really nice club with big ambitions and I want to be part of achieving those goals the club have set.”
Lindström is Birmingham City’s second signing of the January transfer window.
