The Second City derby is one of the most ferocious in the country
The Second City derby between Birmingham City and Aston Villa has been full of iconic moments for both sets of supporters, and is among the most passionate rivalries English football has to offer.
Regardless of whether the game is played at Villa Park in B6, or 3.4 miles down the road in B9 at St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, it is impossible to escape the usual nervousness, tension and excitement that is associated with such a bitter feud.
Blues currently reside in the Championship after breaking the EFL's all-time points record haul with a total of 111 in League One last term, and harbour ambitions of making this matchup a regular occurrence once again as they seek a return to the Premier League for the first time since May 2011.
Villa, on the other hand, have undergone a mass transformation of their own in recent years, becoming European regulars under the management of Unai Emery, just a few short years after earning promotion from the second-tier in the play-off final at Wembley against Derby County.
This is a derby which hasn't played out as much as others in recent times due to the differing trajectory of both clubs, but the rivalry between the two fanbases hasn't dissipated one bit. With that in mind, Football League World asked AI chatbot, ChatGPT, which of these two clubs has the louder.
AI took several factors into account before weighing up the decision, which undoubtedly, would cause plenty of debate regardless of who came out on top.
This includes the fact that the Villans have a much larger stadium at present, with Villa Park able to facilitate 42,640 supporters at present in comparison to 29,409 at St Andrew's.
AI also stated that Villa's global pull and on-pitch success has enabled a strong and positive atmosphere, as was showcased in the UEFA Champions League last season in big occasions against Bayern Munich, Juventus and eventual winners, PSG.
It also gave Bluenoses a fair share of credit too, stating that the fanbase in Small Heath creates an extremely intimidating and hostile atmosphere which represents the working-class culture and foundations on which Brum is built upon, and one which is at its very best when facing off against Villa or in other crucial encounters.
AI also believes that the "noise-to-numbers ratio" can be much greater at St Andrew's, despite Villa Park's greater capacity for the time being.
However, the overall victory in this particular facet went to the side from Aston due to the greater numbers, although Blues supporters were once again praised for their efforts, with AI stating that, on their day, they can surpass noise levels from across the city.
In recent times, it is Villa who have enjoyed the greater success in terms of league position and derby games, with Blues' last victory in the encounter coming back in March 2005, with the last showdown grabbing plenty of headlines for Jack Grealish's winning goal after being punched by a supporter in the opening exchanges.
Regardless of those results, Blues supporters will be hoping they can face, and beat Villa at St Andrew's once more before they move to a new 62,000-capacity stadium just a stone's throw away, with Tom Wagner hoping it will be ready from the start of the 2030/31 season, as the club look to transform East Birmingham and attract a whole host of new supporters.
This, in turn, could see them take the number one spot in this particular debate.
