The Blues are looking for a third win in a row in the league, and a fourth in five games, with their sights set on a possible play-off place this season.

Meanwhile, Eric Ramsay is still searching for his first victory since taking charge of the Baggies on 11 January, having overseen two draws and three defeats so far.

Albion are just one point above the relegation zone ahead of their trip to St. Andrew’s, highlighting the importance of getting a result against their Midlands rivals.

But victory could take Birmingham into the play-off places, with Chris Davies’ side currently two points behind sixth place Wrexham.

Birmingham will host West Brom on Tuesday night in a fixture held ahead of the fourth round of the FA Cup taking place this weekend.

Ramsay’s side will travel to St. Andrew’s for an 8pm kick-off in what is a huge game for both sides.

The Blues have the chance to move into the top six if they can continue their winning form and take all three points.

But the pressure will seriously mount on the new Baggies manager if he fails to earn victory in his sixth attempt.

West Brom are hoping to maintain their place in the Championship beyond this season, and a win away to one of their local rivals could be the result they need to kickstart the second half of their campaign.

Birmingham’s home form this season has been quite impressive following their return to the second division.

Davies’ side earned a record-breaking 111 points in League One last season to immediately earn promotion back to the Championship.

The Blues have earned 30 points from their first 15 games at St. Andrew’s since then, leaving them with the fourth best home record in the division.

They will have the opportunity to make that 33 from 16 when their clash against West Brom will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event on Tuesday evening.

It will require a subscription to Sky Sports in order to access the channel, with coverage beginning at 7.30pm.

A subscription to NOW TV’s Sports package will also give viewers access to the Championship clash this evening, if they prefer the option to stream the fixture online, with both monthy and day passes available.

The Baggies’ away record is also one of the worst of the 24 sides in the second tier, with Ramsay’s team 23rd in the away table.

The Midlands outfit have won just three of their 16 fixtures on the road so far this term, with only Sheffield Wednesday producing a worse record.

Albion are winless in their last seven in the league, with their last victory coming on 29 December against QPR.
