The Cabin on Olderwood Precinct has been transformed for the FIFA World Cup meeting between England and Croatia, after a three-week makeover.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, staff painted tables and walls, turned tabletops into flags and footballs, and put up a giant flag alongside smaller flags for every qualifying nation.
Landlady Jemma Cook, 39, said the pub went big for the Euros and felt it had to go bigger for the World Cup. She added that activities will run during matches, with free food offered for weekday and weekend fixtures.
She said the community has loved the new look, which has lifted the mood and got locals behind the home team.
The Cabin has organised a World Cup sweepstake and other promotions to keep fans involved. For midweek games they plan free half-time food such as chips, chicken strips and wings.
With help from a local business, they hope to stage a fun day, potentially adding a big screen in the beer garden, an inflatable goal for children and music.
For the final day they intend a full family fun day and say they are going to go big, considering a bouncy castle and a barbecue, and a street party if they can.
England are set to face Croatia at nine pm on Wednesday, with fans invited to watch at The Cabin.
