Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the signing of Mathias Jorgensen from Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt.

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the permanent signing of forward Mathias Jorgensen from Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.
The Championship side added to their ranks earlier in the transfer window with the loan addition of Brighton defender Eiran Cashin, formerly of Derby County.
Valerien Ismael's side have now bolstered their attack by signing Jorgensen, who only joined Bodo/Glimt from Danish outfit AaB last summer.
The 25-year-old scored five goals in 15 appearances for the Norwegian club and will now vie to help Blackburn stave off the threat of relegation from the Championship.

The Lancashire outfit will hope that Jorgensen can help them beat the likes of Portsmouth and Norwich City in the battle to avoid an unwanted League One return.
Following Blackburn's acquisition of the 25-year-old, Football League World asked our Rovers fan pundit, Simon Middlehurst, if the move for the 25-year-old was a gamble or if he could become a hit at Ewood Park.
Middlehurst said: "A bit 50/50 on this one. Obviously, we were told from the start that we were looking to bring players in with Championship experience or English football experience.
"Obviously, this is another player coming in from an overseas league that probably isn't as big and as technical as the Championship. It could be a little bit of a gamble.
"Saying that, though, we brought in Ryan Alebiosu, who's come in (from overseas) and hit the ground running. Andri Gudjohnsen has come in as well. He's kind of hit the ground running.
"It could pay off, hopefully it does. But it's a forward as well, it's a striker, it's what we needed. We'll see what happens, but hopefully he can come in, hit the ground running and become a bit of a hit at Blackburn."

Jorgensen scored at a thoroughly decent rate of one goal every three games throughout his short stint with Bodo/Glimt, while he notched 10 goals and five assists in 30 Danish top-flight appearances in his final season with AaB.
The former Denmark youth international, who can operate as both a winger and a central striker, is no stranger to having to adapt to a new league, and previously played in the MLS for New York Red Bulls.
However, as outlined by Middlehurst, the Championship is a particularly challenging league, so the acquisition of Jorgensen could go either way for Ismael and Blackburn.
The Ewood Park outfit face difficult fixtures on the horizon, including back-to-back home encounters with play-off contenders Watford and Hull City in late January.
Blackburn may need Jorgensen to hit the ground running in those fixtures, but the former Bodo/Glimt man could struggle to adjust to the demands of Championship football.
The Lancashire side were ultimately disappointed by former overseas recruit and striker Makhtar Gueye, who scored just eight goals in 65 Rovers appearances before being offloaded this month.
Ismael will hope that Jorgensen is a significant upgrade on Gueye.
