Manchester United recently reached an agreement with Eyupspor for the loan transfer of Tyrell Malacia.
However, he is not keen to join the Turkish club, despite not being part of United’s plans this season.
The Dutchman came to Manchester from Feyenoord in 2022 for an initial £13 million fee.
He failed to establish himself due to form and fitness problems, making only 47 appearances over the last three seasons.
The left-back played only three times in the Premier League last season before joining PSV Eindhoven on loan for the second half of the campaign.
United manager Ruben Amorim made it clear he would not be part of his plans and told him to train away from the first-team group.
Malacia was a subject of interest from La Liga outfit Elche, but a deadline-day transfer did not materialise.
He looked poised to join Eyupspor after United agreed terms with them, but the 26-year-old is resistant to the move.
Malacia’s stance is understandable, given it would be a significant step down from his loan spell at PSV last season.
However, staying at Old Trafford is a questionable decision as Amorim clearly does not rate him.
