Cardiff City are in the mix for league and cup success this season — and their formidable winning mentality powered them into the last eight of the Carabao Cup last night.
Currently third in League One, Brian Barry-Murphy’s Bluebirds claimed a 2–1 win over Wrexham to reach the quarter-finals of the League Cup — Will Fish’s 71st-minute strike securing their 13th victory of the campaign.
Relegated from the Championship last term, the Bluebirds have rediscovered their mojo. In fact, they’ve now won two more games than any other team in The 92 across all domestic competitions in 2025/26.
It’s an impressive stat, and Bluebirds fans will be hoping for a favourable draw in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals — with Barry-Murphy perhaps eyeing a reunion with his former club, Manchester City.
