The resolution sets a total two-match suspension, and clarifies that this includes the automatic one-game ban triggered by his recent straight red.

As a result, he will not face Cruzeiro tonight at 21:30 at La Bombonera, nor the next fixture on Thursday 28 May at the same time and venue against Universidad Católica.

Ascacibar was sent off against Barcelona of Ecuador.

Alongside the sporting penalty, the ruling imposes a financial sanction of 3,000 US dollars. Under the current regulations, this sum is deducted from Boca’s broadcast and institutional income, not from the player.

The Disciplinary Unit also states the decision is final, with no legal recourse permitted, closing the case.
