Boca have been cleared to take 2,000 away fans to Universidad Católica in Chile for their 2026 Copa Libertadores opener, subject to conditions. The Delegado Presidencial for the Metropolitan Region, Germán Codina Powers, said the decision followed a meeting with local authorities and Católica officials.

After that meeting, he confirmed 2,000 Boca supporters would be admitted to Claro Arena for the group-stage fixture.

The club must boost steward numbers inside the stadium and follow parameters set by Carabineros to ensure strict separation of home and away sections.

The required investment will be inspected on Monday, 24 hours before the match. Fans travelling from abroad who wish to buy tickets must enrol in the Registro Nacional de Hinchas.

Authorities have also liaised with Argentina’s Tribuna Segura to obtain the DNI of people barred from sporting venues for violent or criminal conduct, so admission rights can be enforced and those individuals kept out.

Ticketing details for travelling fans will be announced in the coming hours, with 2,000 seats to go on sale. When Católica visit La Bombonera, they will receive the same allocation.
