Boca face Martín Palermo again as Platense test awaits | OneFootball

Boca return to the Torneo Clausura against Platense on matchday five, days after a 3-1 win over Recoleta. The fixture brings a fresh reunion with Martín Palermo, the club’s record goalscorer.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the meeting renews a touchline rivalry that has spanned more than a decade. Across eight previous meetings, Boca have five wins and three draws.

Most recently, on matchday 4 of the 2023 Liga Profesional, Platense left the Alberto J. Armando beaten 3-1, Figal, Merentiel and Briasco on target.

Now in his second spell at Platense, Palermo will chase a first win over Boca. The match is set for Saturday 15 August at 21:15 at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López.
