Boca Juniors in talks to bring Dario Benedetto back from Marseille

TyC Sports report that Boca Juniors have initiated contact with 31-year-old Argentinian striker Dario Benedetto about a possible return.

The Marseille forward, who is on loan at Elche, would be keen to end his stay with the Spanish side prematurely and ask the Ligue 1 club to be able to return to his homeland.

Benedetto, who joined Marseille in 2019 for €16m, has been contacted by Juan Román Riquelme directly about integrating into Sebastián Battaglia’s squad.

More talks are expected to occur in the coming days.
