Boca lose Lucas Janson to late injury for Estudiantes clash

Boca have suffered a late setback, with Lucas Janson ruled out of tonight's trip to Estudiantes de La Plata, kick-off 22:15 at Estadio UNO.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the forward has sustained a grade 2 injury to his left abdominal oblique, meaning he will not feature after being slated to start.

The external oblique sits at the side of the abdomen from the lower ribs to the pelvis and helps rotate the trunk.

A grade 2 tear is a moderate partial rupture that can cause sharp pain, swelling and occasionally bruising, with recovery typically between 4 and 8 weeks.

Head coach Claudio Úbeda has selected Iker Zufiaurre to take Janson's place.

The youngster, comfortable as a winger or centre-forward, will partner Exequiel Zeballos.

Boca's line-up to face Estudiantes is Agustín Marchesín, Juan Barinaga, Lautaro Di Lollo, Ayrton Costa, Lautaro Blanco, Williams Alarcón, Leandro Paredes, Tomás Belmonte, Kevin Zenón, Iker Zufiaurre, Exequiel Zeballos.
