With four days to go before pre-season, Boca have yet to seal a signing but are pushing to add Alexis Cuello after San Lorenzo resolved a debt and regularised his contract. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the forward is among the board’s priority targets.

The adjustment followed unpaid sums of about 75,000 dollars from his arrival, plus bonuses owed since January 2024, transfer-related payments and the 15% due from the definitive purchase of his rights late last year. The player had formally demanded settlement.

With the matter cleared, Boca are attempting to advance. Marcelo Delgado is awaiting a response from Sergio Costantino’s board to an offer already placed with the player’s agent, who is acting as intermediary.

Head coach Damián Ayude has labelled Cuello not for sale, yet Boca remain optimistic they could prise him from San Lorenzo for around 2.5 million dollars.

Boca also want defender Gastón Hernández, who was first on their list before Cuello, a move approved by Martín Palermo. The centre-back is waiting for an overseas offer, but none has arrived.

The plan is to recruit both players for a combined fee below seven million dollars. San Lorenzo will decide whether to accept the terms set by Juan Román Riquelme’s leadership.
