Boca Juniors were held 1-1 by Gimnasia de Mendoza, a newly promoted side, extending a run of four league matches without a win. Claudio Úbeda’s team produced another flat display and frustration was clear in the stands.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, individual ratings underlined the malaise across the pitch.
There was an early mistake at the back and the visitors scored. Lautaro Blanco remained the main outlet, his delivery created Miguel Merentiel’s goal, while Adam Bareiro had a powerful header ruled out at La Bombonera.
Agustín Marchesín was rated four after a quiet night aside from the early lapse and the goal conceded. Marcelo Weigandt received three for frailties in defence and little thrust going forward. Lautaro Di Lollo earned five, with Ayrton Costa on four.
Blanco took five for persistent threat on the left. In midfield, Williams Alarcón was given three as connections faltered, Milton Delgado four for robust recovery but excessive carrying, and Santiago Ascacíbar three as creativity again bypassed him.
Up front, Merentiel scored and was marked five for a tidy, industrious showing. Bareiro also received five after a combative home debut, while Lucas Janson got four following an uneven performance with mixed execution.
Leandro Paredes and Tomás Aranda were both handed six, adding tempo and directness that briefly lifted a static midfield. Kevin Zenón, Ander Herrera and Iker Zufiaurre came on but were not rated after limited impact. Úbeda received two, his repeated set-up misfiring again, and although his position is not in doubt, his decisions make a turnaround look difficult.
