Boca were held to a 0-0 draw by Platense at La Bombonera, leaving them with two wins in their last six matches. Racing visit next at the same venue.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the stalemate felt bitter and Claudio Úbeda’s side struggled for rhythm.

Agustín Marchesín 4, little to do but hesitant off his line. Juan Barinaga 3, continued a poor run and was replaced by Marcelo Weigandt. Lautaro Di Lollo 5 and Ayrton Costa 5, largely secure yet careless in distribution, while Lautaro Blanco 4 struggled to combine with Lucas Janson although he delivered a couple of useful crosses.

Santiago Ascacíbar 5 battled and grew into the game, then took responsibility after captain Leandro Paredes 4 departed with right ankle pain and ice applied, and later went off with a knock. Williams Alarcón 5 improved after the break and linked midfield to attack. Ángel Romero 4 made his first Boca start on the right, lively but without end product.

Miguel Merentiel 3 began brightly then faded, giving way to Edinson Cavani. Janson 4 led some early hold-up play but delayed the clearest chance. Cavani returned from injury, his main opening a missed one-on-one that was ruled offside.

Gonzalo Gellini, Tomás Aranda and Milton Delgado also came on without ratings, the changes added energy but did not alter the outcome. Claudio Úbeda 3 kept faith with the four-three-three featuring Janson, Ángel Romero and Alarcón, but the performance left more questions than answers.
