Boca have agreed their first addition of the window as Leandro Lozano prepares to join pre-season in Ezeiza.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the club moved quickly to address a clear need at right-back after a recent squad trim requested by head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena. Talks with Argentinos were finalised in recent hours.
Boca will pay 3.5 million dollars to acquire 100 percent of the 27-year-old Uruguayan’s registration. His contract runs until 31 December 2029.
Lozano arrives from Argentinos and is booked for tests at 8:45 on Monday 22 June at the Genea clinic, where Boca usually carry out medicals. If all is in order, he will sign and quickly link up with Arruabarrena’s group in Ezeiza.
The move strengthens a flank left exposed at the start of this new cycle. Arruabarrena has already told Barinaga and Weigandt they are not in his plans, leaving only youngster Dylan Gorosito on that side.
Lozano offers dynamism, tracking back and solidity in the challenge, and brings the maturity to handle Boca’s constant demands. With that role covered, the board will keep working on the other additions requested by the new coaching staff.
