Boca will host Vélez Sarsfield away from La Bombonera for the fourth round of the Torneo Clausura, with Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó in Parque Patricios set as the venue. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the board opted to move the fixture to protect the playing surface at the Alberto J. Armando.

In a packed schedule, the Xeneize will also play their outstanding third-round match against Estudiantes de La Plata at the same stadium on Wednesday five August.

The plan follows maintenance work on the La Bombonera pitch during the World Cup break, which was delayed by bad weather and left insufficient time for optimal recovery. Staging two home games in quick succession was viewed as a risk to the surface.

For the Vélez game, Yael Falcón Pérez will be the referee, with Jorge Baliño in the VAR booth.

Although the first leg of Boca v Recoleta in the Sudamericana round of 16 is scheduled for La Bombonera, this is not yet 100 per cent certain. Club staff are working against the clock to have the pitch ready to host that tie.
