Boca will stage the Copa Sudamericana round-of-16 first leg against Deportivo Recoleta at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the move has been officially confirmed and follows ongoing pitch work at La Bombonera.
Rodolfo Arruabarrena's side will again use Huracán's ground, which hosted their recent domestic meeting with Estudiantes de La Plata and will also stage the upcoming tie with Vélez Sarsfield in the Torneo Clausura.
Works at La Bombonera are intended to ensure an optimal surface for the Lanús match scheduled for the end of the month, prompting the board to secure the Palacio de Parque Patricios once more. In total, Boca will play three games at the Ducó.
Operational plans will mirror the club's previous away presentation, with Huracán's authorities facilitating the facilities and ensuring sufficient capacity for Boca supporters, particularly on the terraces.
Separately, secretary general Ricardo Rosica said the board are considering waiving the additional charge usually applied to members for international fixtures.
That add-on has typically been about 20,000 pesos, so the move would ease costs for travelling fans and acknowledge those leaving Brandsen 805 to back the team in a decisive tie.
