Boca face a decisive Copa Libertadores tie against Universidad Católica, yet transfer planning is under way, with Felipe Loyola back on the agenda. The club remain focused on reaching the last 16.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Nahitan Nández remains the dream signing, but the deal looks far from simple. His representative has said there are significant offers from Europe and México, plus an extension from Al-Qadisiyah.
With that hurdle, Boca have again looked across the Andes. Loyola, a 25-year-old Chilean midfielder, is in a difficult moment in Europe and is open to an immediate exit to relaunch his career. Loyola has been linked with Boca before.
The former Independiente player is at Pisa in Italy. The club were relegated to Serie B and he has slipped in the pecking order, featuring in only 10 official matches this year.
Boca see an opportunity to bring him back to South America in June. His versatility appeals, he plays as an interior midfielder and can also operate at right-back, an area needing urgent reinforcement.
On the right, Boca have Marcelo Weigandt and Juan Barinaga, both out of the side after Malcom Braida, naturally a left-sided player, claimed the role and will finish the semester there.
There have been no official meetings, formal talks or financial proposals for Felipe Loyola so far. The option remains on file while directors weigh next steps, and the player needs minutes with Boca seen as a major step up.
