Boca Juniors’ official statement.

Club Atlético Boca Juniors informs its members of the new methods for confirming and using season tickets in accordance with the new Regulations, approved by the Board of Directors through Minutes No. 4, from September 2024. Once the new regulations come into force, season ticket holders will have three alternatives:

1. Confirm attendance

The season ticket holder must confirm attendance up to one day before each match.

2. Give up the seat to the solidarity season ticket program

If the season ticket holder does not attend the match, they may give the seat to Solidarity Season Ticket, allowing another member to use it.

3. Create their group of authorized people

Each season ticket holder may create a group of up to 6 authorized members to use their seat.

The group may include up to 6 members from all categories and may be changed once a year, except in duly contemplated force majeure situations.

Both the season ticket holder and the invited member will enter the stadium using their membership card.

Considering:

  • That Club Atlético Boca Juniors (hereinafter, “Boca” or “the Club”) is a non-profit civil association whose aims and purposes are set out in Article 1 of its bylaws, and that among them is participating in all acts related to its purposes organized by the entities to which the institution is affiliated, and promoting a spirit of unity and sociability among its members.
  • That Article 17 of the bylaws lists all the rights enjoyed by honorary, lifetime, active, youth, minor, child, baby, domestic, and international members, and establishes that they must be exercised in accordance with the bylaws and the internal provisions issued by the Board of Directors.
  • That one of the rights listed in the aforementioned article is the possibility of attending football matches and any other sporting competitions in which Club teams participate, when they take place at the Club’s own stadium or another where the Institution acts as the home team, without paying admission or by paying a special price for members.
  • That the membership base of C.A.B.J. exceeds the capacity of the Alberto J. Armando stadium “La Bombonera,” making it materially impossible for all members to attend the same event held at the stadium.
  • That, in order to expand the possibilities for members to attend professional football team events, and thus achieve greater fairness in attendance opportunities, the Board of Directors of Club Atlético Boca Juniors decides to modify the guidelines of the Box and Seating Season Ticket Regulations approved by Board Minutes No. 18/2017.

The Board of Directors approves the following text of the Season Ticket Regulations:

Article 1: Concept - Scope of application

These regulations shall apply in all cases in which Club Atlético Boca Juniors temporarily and exclusively grants the use of a specific seat in the Alberto J. Armando stadium “La Bombonera” in favor of any member who meets the requirements established herein.

“Season Ticket” shall mean the special seat granted by the Club, and “Season Ticket Holder” shall mean the member in whose favor the Club has granted the temporary and exclusive use of a seat.

Article 2: Requirements to be a season ticket holder

Only members in the ACTIVE, YOUTH, MINOR, DOMESTIC, OR INTERNATIONAL categories who are up to date with their membership dues may be season ticket holders. Members in the LIFETIME category may also be season ticket holders.

Temporary use transfers of a seat corresponding to the Ladies’ Section may only be made in favor of a female person.

Lifetime member season ticket holders may not enter the specific section granted to that category under Article 8 of the bylaws.

Season ticket holders may only access the section corresponding to their season ticket and may not access other stands or sections.

Article 3: Additional season ticket

The season ticket holder may request the exclusive and temporary use of an “additional” season ticket. For this purpose, they must pay in advance the price of the season ticket and the equivalent of twelve (12) membership dues in the “Active” category.

Article 4: Payment

The payment for the exclusive and temporary transfer of use of a seat at the Alberto J. Armando Stadium constitutes a contribution made by the member pursuant to Article 4 of the bylaws.

Payment may be made in person at the Club’s facilities or electronically through the means Boca provides for that purpose.

Article 5: Term - Renewal

The temporary and exclusive transfer of season ticket use shall be valid for twelve (12) months from the last day of the month in which such transfer was registered.

The season ticket may be renewed for the same term. For this purpose, before its expiration, the Club will request by email that the season ticket holder express their intention to renew the transfer; if they choose to do so, they must pay the renewal fee within the last month of the season ticket’s validity.

If payment is not registered within that period, the seat will automatically become available to the Club without the need for any further notice from Boca.

Article 6: Contact details

The season ticket holder must provide and keep updated their phone number and email address, which shall be considered valid for all communications, notices, and/or formal demands.

Article 7: Obligations and prohibitions

Season ticket holders and authorized users must comply with the following obligations and prohibitions:

  1. a) Occupy exclusively the seat corresponding to their season ticket. They may not stand in aisles or common areas.
  2. b) It is forbidden to create content for social media, carry out radio or television broadcasts, and/or any other type of broadcast from the seat covered by their season ticket. The Club may authorize such activity on an exceptional basis.
  3. c) They may not place flags or signs that advertise a brand or obstruct a proper view of the field of play.
  4. d) The season ticket may not be sold, assigned, or transferred for payment under any circumstances. Nor may it be used by a third party who has not been expressly authorized under the terms of Article 10.
  5. e) They must behave in a manner consistent with the values of the institution. Any conduct involving aggression toward other spectators, players, or referees, as well as discriminatory attitudes and/or gestures, or any action resulting in disciplinary or financial sanctions against the Club, shall entitle the Club to: impose a preventive suspension of season ticket use until the relevant disciplinary proceeding before the Disciplinary Tribunal is completed; once the proceeding is completed, and if a disciplinary sanction is imposed on the member, definitively cancel it; deny the member the possibility of obtaining new temporary and exclusive use transfers of box or seating season tickets.

In the event of any breach of these obligations, the Club may cancel the season ticket without this giving rise to any right to compensation and, if it deems appropriate, the Board of Directors shall request that the Disciplinary Tribunal open proceedings against the season ticket holder involved and, if applicable, following the opinion of the disciplinary body, the Board of Directors, or where appropriate, the Assembly of Member Representatives, shall apply the relevant disciplinary sanctions.

Article 8: Scope

The season ticket grants the right to attend all matches played by the men’s first-division professional football team as the home team in competitions organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and/or the Professional Football League (LPF) in its “Professional Football League” and/or “League Cup” versions, or any future competitions replacing them.

The season ticket may not be used for matches played in another domestic or local tournament, existing or to be created in the future, other than the regular first-division tournaments described in the previous paragraph, unless the Board of Directors specifically decides or authorizes the use of the seat for such tournaments. Likewise, the Board of Directors shall have the power, for each specific event, to enable the seat for the season ticket holder upon payment of a preferential price for such events.

The season ticket holder shall have the right to pay a preferential price to attend matches in competitions organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

Club Atlético Boca Juniors may, through its Board of Directors, impose requirements for the use of season tickets at the Alberto J. Armando Stadium or any stadium where the men’s first-division football team plays as the home team.

Article 9: Conditions for the validity and/or renewal of the season ticket

The Club may cancel the season ticket if the season ticket holder is overdue on two (2) membership dues. For this purpose, it must first notify the season ticket holder by email to settle the outstanding balance within 48 hours. Once that period has passed without payment being made, the Club may cancel the season ticket and reassign the seat.

The season ticket must be used by the season ticket holder or the authorized members in at least 80% of the matches played by the men’s first-division football team as the home team during the validity period of the season ticket, and they may place it in the solidarity season ticket system if they do not attend. If this percentage is not reached, the season ticket holder may not renew or request a new seat. Transfers through the “Solidarity Season Ticket” system established in Article 15, or whatever it may be called in the future, will not be counted as absences.

If the season ticket holder is sanctioned by the Board of Directors or, where appropriate, by the Assembly of Member Representatives, the Club may immediately cancel the season ticket, without any right to indemnity or compensation whatsoever.

Article 10: Lending - Authorized users

The season ticket may be transferred free of charge. For this purpose, the season ticket holder must send the Club, within the time frames it establishes, a list of six (6) members of any category who will be authorized to use the season ticket in any match under the conditions established in Article 6 of these Regulations.

This list may not be modified during the term of the temporary and exclusive transfer of use of a seat; in the event of renewal, the season ticket holder may submit a new list of authorized users.

If the season ticket holder does not send the aforementioned list to the Club, it shall be understood that the season ticket may be used only by the holder.

A female season ticket holder of a seat in the Ladies’ Section may authorize only female members. In the event of a breach of this obligation, the Club may suspend and/or cancel that season ticket without this generating any right to compensation.

Article 11: Minor’s entry

The season ticket holder may enter the stadium with a child under five (5) years old, who must share the same seat.

Article 12: Change of ownership

The season ticket holder may request a change of ownership of the season ticket only in favor of their father, mother, child, brother, or sister.

Article 13: Death of the season ticket holder

In the event of the death of the season ticket holder, their heirs may request a change of ownership in favor of any of them who meets the requirements established in these regulations. For this purpose, they must go to the Club’s offices and provide documentation proving their status as an heir.

If there are several heirs who meet the necessary conditions to be a season ticket holder, the heir requesting the change of ownership in their favor must submit the express written waiver of the others.

If none of the heirs can be the beneficiary of the season ticket, or if they do not wish to use it, the season ticket will be automatically cancelled and the proportional unused amount paid by the deceased season ticket holder will be credited to a bank account of the succession proceedings when required by court order.

Article 14: Exchange

Two season ticket holders who have no outstanding debt with the Club may exchange seats with each other. For this purpose, both must go to the Club’s offices and request the exchange, presenting the documentation the Club requires for that purpose.

Members using this service must pay an “exchange fee” to be set by the Board of Directors to cover the administrative costs required by the procedure.

Article 15: Solidarity season ticket

The season ticket holder may release the seat corresponding to the season ticket for certain matches. In this case, the Club must pay the member the amount corresponding to the renewal price divided by the number of matches the professional first football team plays as the home team during the validity period in tournaments organized by the Argentine Football Association (A.F.A.).

The Club may make use of that seat for the transferred match.

Article 16: Seat changes due to family regrouping or mobility issues

Season ticket holders who, for reasons of family regrouping or mobility issues, wish to change the seat of their season ticket must submit a written request to the Club and attach the following documentation:

  • ID, MEMBERSHIP CARD, and SEASON TICKET.
  • Document proving the family relationship, in the case of family regrouping.
  • Medical certificate in the event of mobility issues.

The request may be made at any time, and the decision will be subject to seat availability.

Article 17: Construction work - Home venue - Matches behind closed doors

If construction work affects the assigned seats, the Club will assign a new seat with similar characteristics. If no seats are available or if no seat satisfactory to the season ticket holder is available, Boca will refund the season ticket holder the proportional amount paid.

If Boca must play any of the matches established in Article 8 as the home team at another stadium, the seats will be assigned by the Board of Directors in accordance with the capacity and availability of the stadium where the event is to take place.

If, for any reason, home matches must be played behind closed doors, there shall be no grounds for any claim or compensation whatsoever.

Article 18: Entry into force - Notice

These Regulations shall enter into force upon approval for all temporary and exclusive transfers of use of a seat made by Club Atlético Boca Juniors in favor of its members.

For all transfers of use already in progress under a season ticket, the Box and Seating Season Ticket Regulations approved by Board Minutes No. 18/2017 shall apply until their respective expiration dates.

Likewise, they must be communicated to all members of the institution. Notification to the email address registered on the “Soy Socio” platform shall be sufficient for that purpose.
