The 29-year-old Bad Hersfeld native moved from Hansa Rostock to Kaiserslautern in 2020 and became a fan favorite over six years.

His goals secured the Red Devils' survival in the 2021 and 2024 seasons, and in 2022, they clinched promotion to the 2. Bundesliga.

In total, Hanslik made 184 appearances for Kaiserslautern in all competitions while netting 34 goals and providing 28 assists.

He received an emotional send-off at his last home game three weeks ago against Bielefeld, where he captained the team one last time.

"With Daniel, we're getting an absolute leader who was vice-captain in Kaiserslautern and whose qualities we are fully convinced of, both on and off the pitch.

“His versatility allows him to add a new dimension to our game, whether as a striker, a second striker, or in the number 9.5 role,” said Bochum's director of football Simon Zoller.
