FULL TIME!
Leverkusen take care of business and Olympiacos have a mountain to climb.
FULL TIME!
Brugge fight back from 2-0 down and 3-2 down to earn a well deserved draw from a remarkable game.
Diego Simeone will be fuming with his Atlético side.
FULL TIME!
Bodø/Glimt have done it once more against one of European football's giants, stunning Inter 3-1.
Can the Serie A leaders fight back in the second leg next week or will the Norwegians' fairytale story continue?
GOAL! BRUGGE MAKE IT 3-3!!!
Christos Tzolis strikes and we're all square once again.
What a game.
Olympiacos have six minutes plus added time to pull off an unlikely comeback.
We're past the 90 in our other two games with Bodø on the brink.
GOAL! ATLETICO LEAD AGAIN!
A fifth goal in Brugge and Simeone's side are back in front.
It's an own goal from centre-back Joel Ordonez that's done it.
Can the Belgians come back one more time?
GOAL! LEVERKUSEN MAKE IT 2-0!
Two in the space of three minutes as Robert Andrich rises highest to head home from a corner.
A long way back for Olympiacos now.
GOAL! LEVERKUSEN LEAD!
And who else but Patrik Schick.
The striker makes up for his miss in the first chance to give the Germans the lead with a fine finish after being sent clear.
BRUGGE BOUNCE BACK! 2-2!
What a night this is turning out to be.
Nicolò Tresoldi gets to a cross before Jan Oblak to tuck the ball home at the near post.
What must Simeone be thinking?
AND AGAIN!
Amazingly, it's now 3-1 to Bodø/Glimt with Kasper Høgh getting in on the act, finishing off a fantastic team move.
GOAL! BODO STRIKE AGAIN!
Jens Petter Hauge makes it 2-1 to Bodø/Glimt and the giant killing is back on.
Remarkable.
BRUGGE BACK IN IT!
Raphael Onyedika gives the Belgians hope with a goal early into the second half.
Game on.
Back underway in our three games.
Can Brugge fight back? Can a winner be found in the other two games?
HALF TIME!
Atlético are two goals to the good but our other games are in the balance at the break.
GOAL! LOOKMAN MAKES IT TWO!
Just before the half-time whistle, Ademola Lookman doubles Atlético's lead and that could be them with one foot in the last 16.
The Nigerian has made a fine start to life with Diego Simeone's side.
WHAT A MISS!
After Pedro Martins goes close with a long-range effort for Olympiacos, Leverkusen's Ernest Poku misses a golden chance to break the deadlock.
He's sent through one-on-one but sends his shot horribly wide of the post.
GOAL! INTER LEVEL!
Bodø's lead lasted just 10 minutes as the Serie A leaders fight back to level the score.
Pio Esposito is the scorer, grabbing his seventh of a fine debut campaign.
It's a ruthless finish too after the ball drops to him in the box.
Still waiting on our first goal in Greece but Leverkusen have had the best chance in the opening half hour, and it came to their main man.
The ball was flashed across the box towards Patrik Schick but the Czech striker could not guide it into the back of the net.
Warning sign for Olympiacos.
GOAL IN NORWAY!
Like Manchester City before them, Inter are stunned in the Arctic Circle as Bodø/Glimt take a surprise lead.
Sondre Fet gets his third in the competition this season, finishing off a brilliant team move.
GOAL IN BRUGGE!
And it's Atlético who have got it through Julián Alvarez.
The Argentine makes no mistake from the penalty spot and keeps up his fine European record.
KICK OFF!
And we're underway.
Will we get a half anywhere near as wild as the one just witnessed?
Five minutes to go until our final three first-leg clashes.
FULL TIME!
Newcastle run out 6-1 winners over Qarabağ after a truly incredible first half that saw the Magpies score five and Anthony Gordon score four.
Barring an actual miracle, they are in the round of 16.
Into added time.
AND IT'S SIX!
Jacob Murphy raises the volume with Newcastle's sixth just five minutes after coming on for Anthony Elanga.
He cuts in from the right and curls home with a deflected left-footed shot.
It's gone very quiet as you might expect given the score line.
There feels next to no need for next week's second leg does there?
GOAL!
Qarabag get their goal after a VAR check rules Elvin Cafarquliyev was onside when he finished past Nick Pope.
We're six minutes into the second half and Newcastle haven't scored yet. Simply unacceptable.
The teams are back out here in Baku!
Some of the insane stats from tonight's half ...
Some more history for Gordon ...
HALF TIME!
And that brings to an end one of the most ridiculous first halves of European football I've ever seen. It's no exaggeration to say that Newcastle could have scored double figures there. As it is, they're only 5-0 up heading into the break.
GOAL!
It's a fourth for Gordon and a fifth for Newcastle. The Englishman bags from the spot to round off one of the most remarkable halves you're ever likely to see. It has been a rout.
PENALTY!
Anthony Gordon races in once again, and this time gets taken out by the goalkeeper in a clear foul. Is the Englishman about to get his fourth?
That 33-minute hat-trick is also the fastest by an English player in the Champions League.
Those three goals from Gordon have now taken him past Alan Shearer for Champions League goals for Newcastle. Pure brilliance.
This has been one of the great European performances from Gordon ... and we're only 35 minutes into the first half.
GOAL!
And that's a hat-trick for Anthony Gordon. The winger rounds the goalkeeper and bags his third of the game.
GOAL!
Newcastle got their well-deserved third thanks to Gordon's penalty. What a performance this has been from Howe's men so far.
PENALTY! That was a clear handball and now Newcastle have a chance to add a third.
That surely has to be a penalty?!
A well-worked corner by Newcastle sees Barnes and Elanga have efforts blocked. And now we're looking at a potential handball in the area!
CHANCE AGAIN!
Barnes's bad touch puts Gordon in on goal but the England winger can't steer his effort past the goalkeeper who palms it around the post. This is getting ridiculous now.
CHANCE!
How many changes is Harvey Barnes going to have tonight? The Newcastle winger is played in again but his effort comes back off the goalkeeper.
We've not even played 20 minutes yet and already Newcastle have had eight shots on goal. Qarabag meanwhile are on zero. It could be a long night for the hosts.
ANOTHER CHANCE!
Gordon gets in behind the Qarabag defence but fires straight at the goalkeeper. This could have been 5-0 already!
A stunning stat here ...
GOAL!
And it's two for Newcastle! Thiaw's gets on the end of a Trippier cross and heads in. Howe's side are in dreamland!
CHANCE!
Barnes, once again, shoots from a tight angle but his effort is saved down to the right. The Toon are starting like a train here.
You have to say that Newcastle have started brilliantly here. That's a stunning finish from Gordon and more than they deserve after only four minutes.
GOAL!
It's taken just three minutes but Newcastle have the lead. Gordon is played in and the England international finishes brilliantly from inside the area.
CHANCE!
The first opportunity of the game for Newcastle as Barnes strikes on goal from a tight angle but it's saved well.
KICK OFF!
And we're off here in Baku.
Some history tonight for Gordon ...
The teams are out here.
There's just over five minutes to go here until kick off. What are your predictions for tonight? Let us know in the comments.
Newcastle have made four changes to their starting XI this evening with what looks like an attacking set up from Eddie Howe ...
We've got four more games for you tonight, starting with Newcastle's clash with Qarabag. That's then followed by Inter's trip to Bodo/Glimt, Atleti's clash with Club Brugge and Olympiacos v Leverkusen.
Good evening everyone and welcome to another night of Champions League action!
