Boey ‘to run down’ Bayern contract after rejecting Lyon

Boey has turned down further January approaches and prefers to run down his Bayern contract, raising the prospect of a free transfer at the end of his deal.

Bild claims Lyon were the latest club to be rejected by the 25-year-old. There has also been interest from Premier League sides.

Bayern are interested in cashing in, but time is short with the window closing on Monday.

His previous outing came on 1 November, when a rotated Bayern side beat Bayer Leverkusen. He then made his first appearance of the year in the 2-1 win over PSV.

The former Galatasaray full-back could therefore remain at Bayern beyond the deadline.
