Bologna consider sacking Tedesco with Pioli and Motta linked as replacement | OneFootball

Domenico Tedesco’s position at Bologna is in danger, with the club weighing up whether to make a change after the poor start to his tenure.

According to Calciomercato, citing Matteo Moretto, the Rossoblu hierarchy are actively considering dismissing the coach, with a decision expected shortly. Were it to happen, it would be the second managerial change of this Serie A season after Fabio Grosso’s exit at Fiorentina, who turned back to Paolo Vanoli.

One point from four games for Bologna as pressure mounts on Tedesco

The numbers make grim reading. Bologna have taken a single point from four matchdays, a return matched only by Parma, Monza and Genoa, having lost to Lazio, Atalanta and most recently Napoli at the Maradona. Their sole point came in a draw with Sassuolo on matchday three.

Just two goals have been scored all season, both against the Neroverdi through Roberto Piccoli and Artem Dovbyk, with five conceded at the other end.

Three names have been linked with the job should Bologna pull the trigger: former Milan and Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli, ex-Bologna coach Thiago Motta, and Raffaele Palladino.
