Bologna Join the Race for Lazio Attacker but Monaco Remain Ahead

Lazio forward Tijjani Noslin has a new suitor in the shape of Bologna, although Monaco are reportedly leading the queue.

The Background

Aside from his heroics against Parma, the 26-year-old never truly managed to convince Maurizio Sarri. With Daniel Maldini completing his transfer from Atalanta on Tuesday, Noslin is now considered surplus to requirements. The former Hellas Verona striker has been linked with various clubs in January, including Torino, where he would reunite with Marco Baroni once more.

Bologna Showing Interest in Tijjani Noslin

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Bologna has become the latest club to enquire about Noslin. The Rossoblu currently have enough attacking options in Santiago Castro, Thijs Dallinga, and Ciro Immobile. Nevertheless, their technical director, Gianluca Sartori, is keeping an eye on the market to anticipate any departures before the end of January.

Monaco Leading the Race for Noslin

While Villarreal are also in the fray, Pedullà identifies Monaco as the suitor who made the most concrete progress in the negotiations with Lazio. The French principality club has tried to sign Noslin on loan with an option to buy, but Lazio are insisting on adding an obligation clause. It remains to be seen if Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani will soften their stance in the coming days.

Monaco & Lazio Trying to Find the Right Formula for Noslin

Il Messaggero goes even further, claiming that Monaco are close to sealing an agreement with the Biancocelesti for the versatile attacker, even though the two clubs continue to work on finding the right formula. The Roman newspaper reports a transfer fee in the region of €20 million, which would generate a small capital gain, considering that Lazio bought Noslin for €18 million in the summer of 2024.
