Bologna lose Odgaard for 4 weeks to serious injury | OneFootball

Bologna will be without Jens Odgaard for at least a month after he sustained a serious thigh injury, but is hoping to be back against Milan.

The Danish striker was a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Torino last week, having featured in all five Serie A games so far this season.

A statement from the club medical staff confirmed that he felt a twinge in training and had been diagnosed with a lesion to the flexor in the right thigh.

The recovery time is stated as circa four weeks, although much of that will be during the long break for international duty.

Odgaard is still expected to miss the matches against Lecce, Inter and Cagliari, but could potentially return in time for the trip to Milan on October 28.

Bologna sacked coach Domenico Tedesco after just four Serie A rounds, bringing in new boss Raffaele Palladino, who made his debut with the draw against Torino.

Other players on the treatment table at the moment include Artem Dovbyk, although Riccardo Orsolini made his comeback as a substitute in that fixture.
