Bontempo and Moisés likely to miss Santos at Botafogo | OneFootball

Santos are likely to be without attacking midfielder Gabriel Bontempo and forward Moisés for the trip to Botafogo on Thursday 16, the 19th round of the Brasileirão at Nilton Santos, kicking off at 19:30.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Bontempo is dealing with inflammation in the pubic area and Moisés has an ankle sprain. Both are in physical transition.

The squad held a tactical session at CT Rei Pelé on Monday. The pair worked away from the group and did not train.

Right-back Igor Vinicius, in the final stage of his recovery, took part in part of the session with team-mates. There is an expectation he could bolster the side for the match.

The coaching staff will also be without forward Gabriel Barbosa, suspended after being sent off for an obscene gesture against Vitória, and Neymar Jr, who is due to report back on 17, the day after the game.

Cuca has training sessions scheduled for Tuesday morning 14 and Wednesday 15 at CT Rei Pelé. The squad travel to Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday afternoon.
