Valencia unveiled their squad at Mestalla, the crowd greeting Carlos Corberán with boos, Javi Guerra with the loudest cheer and André Almeida with indifference.

According to AS, the stadium announcer underlined it was Valencia’s squad as of today, and Corberán expects to work with several additions in the coming weeks, while some who appeared may not continue, including Almeida. A small number of fans had entered at that stage to witness the last Trofeo Naranja in Mestalla’s history.

The club introduced the group by position, goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards and then the coaching staff, without singling out new arrivals. Absent were two contracted players who are injured and not in the plans, Sergi Canós and Alberto Marí. The only new faces presented were De Haas, Dieng and Sato, while the other addition, Guido Rodríguez, was already familiar.

The squad filtered out from the tunnel in sequence, with Diego López on crutches among them. A smiling Corberán followed, then his backroom team.

The ceremony also paid tribute to towns in the Comunitat Valenciana affected by wildfires and produced the first official team photograph. In it, Corberán was flanked by four captains, with the new name, Guido Rodríguez, to his left and José Luis Gayà to his right. Pepelu and Diakhaby complete the captaincy group.
