Borja Sainz is in mourning after the death of his mother.

The club said in a statement on Thursday that it had received the news with deep sorrow, offered heartfelt condolences to his family and would stand by the player. It added that the funeral of Maria Begoña Egusquiza will take place on Friday afternoon in Bilbao.
