Borussia Dortmund appoint Ole Book as sporting director

Borussia Dortmund said on Monday that Ole Book has been appointed sporting director, replacing Sebastian Kehl.

The move follows the previous day's announcement of Kehl's departure.

Book, aged 40, has signed a contract running until June 2029.

He arrives from SV Elversberg, where he served as managing director of sport during the club's rise from the fourth tier to the second.

With seven matches remaining, Dortmund are second in the Bundesliga, seven points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
