Borussia Dortmund have completed the singing of Yan Couto from Manchester City on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy in a year’s time.
The right-back has signed for the season with the German giants, and becomes the latest addition to Nuri Şahin’s new-look squad after Stuttgart pair Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton.
While Couto has left City, he never actually played for the Premier League champions despite joining in the summer of 2020.
Instead, he spent four seasons out on loan, three of which came at fellow City Football Group, Girona, including the last two.
The Brazilian, who has four caps for his country, made 34 LaLiga appearances last season as the Catalan club amazingly came third and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
However, he will now ply his trade in the Bundesliga and look to help Dortmund bounce back from a disappointing fifth-placed league finish last time around, albeit they did make the Champions League final.
