Borussia Dortmund confirm knee ligament injury blow for Felix Nmecha

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha suffered a lateral knee ligament injury in the 3-2 win over Hamburger SV.

The club said on Monday that the 25-year-old sustained the damage during Saturday's game and will be sidelined for several weeks.

As a result, he will miss Germany's friendlies against Switzerland on 27 March and Ghana on 30 March.

It is Germany's second midfield setback this month, after Bayern Munich's Aleksandar Pavlović withdrew earlier.

Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller is reportedly set to be called up as Pavlović's replacement, while it remains unclear who will replace Nmecha.
