Borussia Dortmund have an “at best outside chance” of signing Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham | OneFootball

Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Borussia Dortmund’s chances of signing Jobe Bellingham, are not as great as when they signed his brother.

Bellingham has attracted a lot of interest, due to his performances and development while at Sunderland and it is expected that he will leave the club in the summer. However, Dortmund’s chances of bringing another Bellingham to the Westfalenstadion are not that great.

The reasons for this is that Jobe is of interest to teams in the Premier League and the midfielder has developed rather quickly in the North-East of England. Ruhr Nachrichten states Dortmund’s chances of bringing Jobe to the club are ‘at best an outside chance.’

The fee for the 19-year-old could be around €25m, which is a similar fee to what Jude joined for when he moved in 2020.

However, what may work in Dortmund’s favour is the history of the Bellingham family. During his three years at the club, Bellingham developed into one of the best young talents in the world and after moving to Real Madrid in 2023 has become one of the best players in the world.

Dortmund have recently renewed contact with the Bellingham family.
