Borussia Dortmund in talks to sign Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano reports that Borussia Dortmund are in talks to sign Brighton’s attacking-midfielder Facundo Buonanotte (20). The Bundesliga side also face competition from Lyon to sign the Argentine.

This comes after it emerged that RB Leipzig are pushing to sign Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea. That could materialise with the Blues being close to reaching an agreement with Xavi Simons, who wants to join the Premier League club this summer – more so given that Leipzig failed to qualify for any European competitions.

Should Simons join Chelsea, then Chukwuemeka could well head to RB Leipzig. The Englishman spent the second-half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and although they showed concrete interest in bringing Chukwuemeka back to the Signal Iduna Park, negotiations with Chelsea have hit a stalemate.

As a result, they’ve turned their attention towards Buonanotte. Other than ‘active talks’, Romano doesn’t add any further detail on Borussia Dortmund’s interest in the 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Leicester City.
