There aren’t too many certainties surrounding Ayman Kari (19), but what is certain is that he will not remain with FC Lorient beyond the end of his season-long loan spell. As reported by L’Équipe, the midfielder will return to formative club Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign, but he may not remain there.
Alongside Warren Zaïre-Emery, Kari has been considered one of the brightest prospects in PSG’s academy. This season, the France youth international has found regular game time, starting the last nine games for Les Merlus in Ligue 1. His regular presence in the side has coincided with an upturn in form, but he won’t remain with Régis Le Bris’ side, despite the presence of a purchase option included in the loan deal.
The midfielder, who once attracted the interest of Manchester City and Bayern Munich, faces an uncertain future. He is appreciated by PSG and Luís Enrique, however, the upcoming pre-season will be crucial in determining his future. For his continued progression, game time is a must and it should quickly be ascertained whether Les Parisiens are in a position to afford it.
Amidst this uncertainty, numerous clubs have displayed an interest, including Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, who have garnered a reputation for developing young talent. However, given PSG’s appreciation of the player, Kari could yet remain at the Parc des Princes next season.
