Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Robin Koch, with his future at the club currently open.
Koch is said to have a release clause in his Frankfurt contract that is worth around €18-20m, and Sky reports that talks between Dortmund and the defender have already taken place, while more talks are planned in the future.
However, Christopher Michel reports that a potential move is currently not a topic at the club.
The 28-year-old joined Frankfurt permanently in the summer on a free transfer, having spent last season on loan from parent club Leeds United. Koch is one of the more senior players in a youthful Frankfurt side.
Centre-back is a position that Dortmund needs quality players for. With Nico Schlotterbeck out injured, Dortmund have been left with a somewhat makeshift back line with Emre Can and Ramy Bensebaini filling in alongside Waldemar Anton and Niklas Süle.
