Having been limited to barely any game time in recent weeks, Gonzalo García is said to be planning his way out of Real Madrid.
After his brilliant performance as top scorer at the FIFA Club World Cup, the academy graduate hoped for his breakthrough with the Galacticos.
However, this hope was dashed after the dismissal of former Bayer Leverkusen coach, Xabi Alonso, who gave him his chance.
The 22-year-old is now surplus to requirements in Madrid and, according to BILD, the center forward is open to a move to the Bundesliga.
Despite finding the net on just six occasions in 34 appearances this season, the striker is attracting interest from other clubs.
García has previously been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart, but now Borussia Dortmund has reportedly expressed interest.
Spanish media recently reported that the Westphalians would be prepared to splash out a fee of around €30million for the Spaniard.
Real Madrid are reportedly willing to let García go, but are demanding a sum worth his market value, which is estimated at around €60million.
Dortmund's offer is therefore not yet sufficient to begin serious negotiations. The striker only extended his contract until 2030 last August.
