Kjell Wätjen (20), Cole Campbell (20), Julien Duranville (20), and Diant Ramaj (24) are all set to depart Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to a report by Kicker.

Under new sporting director Ole Book, Die Schwarzgelben have already announced the arrival of French defender Joane Gadou (19) from RB Salzburg, who will join Kauã Prates (18) and Justin Lerma (18) next season.

With a focus on integrating youth, Dortmund are also working on a deal to bring Hertha Berlin’s Kennet Eichhorn (16) to the Westfalenstadion but for the aforementioned quartet, there doesn’t appear to be an immediate future at the club.

However, Dortmund plan on including a buy-back option in any departure of any young player. Duranville has been offered to RC Strasbourg Alsace, while Campbell could remain at Hoffenheim on a permanent basis after spending the season on loan at the Sinsheim club, who celebrated a return to European football.

Wätjen spent 2025/26 on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Bochum, while Ramaj featured in all but three Bundesliga games for Heidenheim but was unable to prevent their relegation to Germany’s second tier.
