Borussia Dortmund suffer fresh injury blow to German midfielder | OneFootball

Just after finding his feet in the Borussia Dortmund squad, Felix Nmecha has been dealt a fresh injury blow and it’s not yet known whether the 23-year-old will start against Bochum on Friday night.

Nmecha had just worked his way back into Dortmund’s starting eleven. Impressing after coming on against Club Brugge, Nuri Şahin awarded the midfielder a start against VfB Stuttgart on Sunday but was replaced after 29 minutes due to injury.

As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Nmecha did not take part in public training at the club’s Brackel training ground on Monday, but did take time out to sign autographs for the fans that had turned up. RN further report that Nmecha should return to training during the week, but it’s unclear as to what role he will play against Bochum.

Nmecha missed 18 games across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund last season but had featured in each of Dortmund’s games in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season.
