The stage is set for another blockbuster edition of Der Klassiker as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich lock horns in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Both teams warmed up for the game by claiming wins in the UEFA Champions League, and fans can look forward to another captivating contest between them.

Borussia Dortmund have won all their matches at home so far this season, and go into Saturday's game on the back of two straight wins. Nuri Sahin will hope that his side can finally add some consistency to their game. Getting the better of Bayern on Saturday would be a huge statement for Sahin in his fledgling BVB coaching career.

Beating FC Bayern is never easy, and this weekend will be no different. The Bavarians have won their last seven matches without conceding a single goal in the process. Their early-season defensive struggles seem to be behind them, and their attackers are firing on all cylinders.

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick on his last visit to the Westfalenstadion, and BVB will have to be at their best to keep him at bay. The likes of Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich, and Michael Olise are also in fine form and could make the difference for Bayern on Saturday.

If Borussia Dortmund are to beat Bayern on Saturday, they must take inspiration from the last meeting between the two sides. The Black and Yellows pulled off a stunning upset in April, beating Bayern 2-0 at the Allianz Arena, ending their woeful run of results in Der Klassiker.

Jamie Gittens is in fine form for Borussia Dortmund going into Saturday's game, having scored in each of the last two games. The likes of Felix Nmecha and Ramy Bensebaini have also stepped up for BVB, while Serhou Guirassy remains the focal point in attack.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich: Team News

Borussia Dortmund will be sweating on the fitness of Julian Brandt ahead of Saturday's clash after he was forced to come off with a muscle injury during the win over Dinamo Zagreb. Emre Can is suspended, Karim Adeyemi is still injured, but Serhou Guirassy will likely make his return to the starting XI on Saturday.

Bayern have a string of injury issues, and will be without key midfielders João Palhinha and Aleksandar Pavlović, as well as defenders Josip Stanišić and Hiroki Ito.
